they're having a blood drive tomorrow at work.
i'm not so happy about it. i find blood drives a little offensive.
i don't like being categorically denied. it's really not that fun.
even moreso, i don't like the look the lady hosting the blood drive gives me when i have to tell her that "i'm not allowed to give blood".
i should get to wear a shirt tomorrow that says, "don't ask. i'm gay. i have sex. and according to the gov, i might give the hiv to a birthing mother."

i've boycotted these events even if i could lie. i don't feel bad about it because my blood type is very common. if i had blood type A/X, maybe i would be more generous....
i, too, wholeheartedly agree. those stupid fascist fuggers! HIV has been rising in minority communities. should we ban their blood too?
if anyone wants so homo blood, im sure theres till PLENTY of mine caked to Blus floor!
it's good to know i'm not alone on this one.
i remember reading about blood clinics in san francisco that needed to continue taking "tainted" blood so they could keep their sulpply up. the same article quoted several doctors, saying a ban on gay blood was ridiculous. they said the post-donation testing was safe enough to allow queers to give.
i'll have you know, though, i did take some juice and cookies. after letting me have some, the girl standing by them said they were for people who donated. i said, "i figured it was better in me than the trashcan."
i think she thought i meant the food.
oh my god, i never knew we couldn't give blood. I totally thought it was only people who have been to the Congo. I'm outraged!
