why, oh why, do i think it wise to go out until 4:30 in the morning on a monday when i have to be at work by 9 on tuesday?

this is the question i've been asking myself all day.

oh, and i've also been asking myself how i still have a functioning liver... because after nights like last night i assume it has to be in its last days.

luckily (and as always), no hangover.

tired as all fuck, though.

i've been sleeping like a dolphin all day.

well, as i mentioned before, i'm very excited about nbc's new show heroes.

so much so that i've read every square inch of the show's
website, complete with video clips, character bios, and other juicy little tidbits of info.

i was excited to learn that the show has an incredibly diverse cast. as mentioned before, masi oka plays a japanese man who can teleport, but also of interest are santiago cabrera (latino) as isaac mendez (a premonition-having, heroin-addicted artist) and sendhil ramamurthy (indian) as mohinder suresh (a psychologist whose recently killed father did research on human evolution). i'm so happy to see the newer hit shows on television (lost, grey's anatomy) with such racially diverse casts... and in a way that the non-caucasian characters are not sequestered to filling supporting roles.

in other heroes news, after reading some
interviews with ali larter, i must say that i may have spoken too soon about her presence in this ensemble cast. the more i learn about her character on the show, the more i think she may be an appropriate cast. we'll see. i'm still not wholly won over.

and finally, it seems that my previous
post may have caught the attention of one of my favoritely named cast members. it seems none other than miss tawny cypress managed to find her way to this blog, and we're very happy to welcome her.

i will gladly affirm that ms. cypress is neither a stripper nor a drag queen. no, no, ms. cypress is, in fact, an able actress with several credits to her name. i'm very interested in her character on heroes as well. tawn-tawns (hope you don't mind if i call you that, ms. cypress) plays simone deveraux (hello, another awesome name... this gal is so lucky). simone is isaac's (read: junky, psychic artist's) girlfriend... and knows mr. peter petrelli (aka milo ventimiglia). simone may be the first link the show has between two of the muties... and that spells excitement in my book.

monday, september 25 cannot come soon enough!

i don't talk about it much, though it's certainly no secret.

i am obsessed with project runway.

i ravenously consume all things klum.

recently,
logo online released a little interview with keith michael (the dirty cheater auf'ed last wednesday).

he talks about the show and his hopes for the launch of his own line.

more importantly, there are pictures of his imminent women's wear.

more more importantly, there are 2 pictures of a male model.

now that's an ass you want to use as a telephone or a lunchbox or just really use it real good.

more more more importantly, there's a very lovely face-forward shot of lunchbox ass' owner... and if his ass is my lunchbox, i know where to get the matching thermos... [yes, i'm full aware that this metaphor makes absolutely no sense, but that's why you come here... to get what you can't get anywhere else - really really piss poor metaphors]

in case you missed that, let me help you.

yep.

[can we tell who's a little hard up these days?]

so thank you keith michael. i won't miss you at all on project runway, but you've certainly left me with a lasting impression.

or outline.

it's like 103 zillion degrees outside.

and what did i have for lunch today?

a big ole bowl of piping hot [i burnt my tongue] minestrone.

yep, i have a cold.
i'm sure there's some form of irony or literary device in there somewhere, but frankly, i'm too congested [shocking, considering my nose hasn't stopped running in 3 days] to be concerned with recalling high school english.

it's a nasty little bug, too.
symptoms: a running nose complete with electric green snot, a hacking cough with plenty of phlegm to mimic emphysema, sneezing that could rival both the dwarf and the smurf [did i mention the electric green snot?], a phantom fever in that i'm burning up but am not actually running a fever, an ever-present body-ache, a burnt tongue [it's a derivative symptom], and a hefty amount of disdain from my fellow commuters each morning.

while i'm currently sticking to a regimen of dayquil [read: nectar of the gods, oh sweet ambrosia] and fluids, here are some... more unconventional remedies the internets offered up without much coaxing:

i kinda feel better already, just knowing that i don't have to take any of those.

...though i'm a little curious what salt water cocaine might do for my electric green snot.
